Sales Development Representative


A startup technology company building a unique content delivery platform for publishers to syndicate, republish, and monetize content in multiple ways seeks a highly energetic and motivated Sales Development Representative to join our New York team. The candidate will be responsible for the prospecting part of the sales cycle which involves outbound efforts to bring in mid and large size publishers based across the US and the globe. The role comes with significant autonomy and a possibility to build and lead our sales team in the long term. Job Description:

  • Manage the entire sales process by independently prospecting with mid and large size publishers
  • Present the company’s products and services, by understanding the publisher needs
  • Utilize cold calling and emails to generate new sales opportunities
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) publishers and Managers
  • Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline to support company objectives and goals
  • Think creatively to improve the sales playbook and hit/exceed quotas
  • Constantly identify new business opportunities to find potential new publishers
  • Calculate and provide accurate revenue estimates to prospects
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure the proper launch and retention of business
  • Document best practices for development of sales process (which you will eventually lead)

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years selling and closing experience
  • Must be native level in English, and fluent in Japanese.
  • Prior knowledge and understanding of the publishing ecosystem
  • Ability to quickly understand products and pitch to prospects
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills: in-person and virtual
  • Outstanding email skills: prospecting, campaign, follow-ups
  • Tech savvy: ability to identify and use new and innovative tools
  • Creative: Come up with out of the box solutions
  • Ability to navigate and thrive in an ambiguous and fast paced environment
  • Experience with CRM and other Lead Gen tools


  • Proven track record of selling to publishers
  • Track record of hitting sales quotas at early stage startups
